MICKLEHAM RD, CRAIGIEBURN

GAS

-

2022

In conjunction with our valued client Porter Utilities and AusNet, Emmitt Utilities installed 4km of 180mm large diameter supply main augmentation via full rock HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) and open cut methodology. Due to supply demand with additional estates being developed throughout the Craigieburn area, this required reticulation of the network that will be able to cater comfortably for the volume and extra usage with no supply issues. Through the challenging ground conditions, our drill crew and gas main laying crew worked diligently for 4 months to complete this project along one of the most demanding thoroughfares in Melbourne.

Echuca intersections

POWER

-

2021

As part of a $5 million upgrade on the Sturt Street and Murray Valley Highway Echuca intersection, Emmitt Utilities are proudly partnered with B.G. & R.M. Williams Electrical and VicRoads to improve the safety, traffic flow and visibility to all road users. With over 17,000 vehicles utilising this section of road daily, it was in much need of attention. We assisted in the civil works on the network and foundations for the traffic lights and pedestrian crossing with the alignment of Old Aerodrome Road into this intersection upgrade.

GRAHAM RD, PORT MELBOURNE

GAS

-

2019

In 2019, Emmitt Utilities, in conjunction with our valued clients and asset owner Multinet Gas, completed an extremely complex large diameter distribution supply main augmentation on busy Graham Street Port Melbourne. The network is primarily made up of cast iron mains that have been in operations since the1880’s. These mains were upgraded from low pressure to high pressure polyethylene pipes to improve capacity and reliability on the network. The sandy ground conditions made this project challenging with trenches filling in on themselves and enhanced our adaptability to manage different environmental encounters.
