Emmitt Utilities at Lakes Entrance, VIC
Updated: May 21, 2020
Over the past few weeks, Emmitt Utilities has been working together with Brookfield Infrastructure Group and Comdain Infrastructure on a compressed natural gas (CNG) delivery solution at Lakes Entrance, in Southeastern Victoria.
This project is part of the Regional Gas Infrastructure Program launched by the Victorian Government in 2014, which aims to connect rural towns in the region to a natural gas network. Under this project and working with Brookfield, Emmitt Utilities has already completed works in the towns of Maldon, Marong, Nathalia, Swan Hill, and Kerang. Our top priority for this project, as always, is utmost safety and speed in order to deliver natural gas to the residents quickly with minimal impact on their daily lives.
We used our brand new Vermeer 36/50 Dual Rod machine, which made the varying ground conditions a breeze to drill since the dual rods provide the necessary torque to work even the hardest of rock.
